The blade is way off center and the liners are rough around the edges. I guess terrible is a little too harsh of a word to describe it. It functions great though. I guess i am too picky. It is definitely not on par fit and finish-wise with my Ontario RAT Model 2 which i got for around the same price.
Anyone who says an American tanto doesn't cut well or is hard to sharpen either doesn't have any idea how to maintain a knife, or bought complete crap.
To fuether the pessimism, the best thing about the M16 series is it will really help you appreciate quality when you buy your next knife.
I normally recommend the Utilitac, but if the CS was too big, you may have the same issue with the Utilitac. I recently bought a Kershaw Zing on the other hand and it's too small for my medium hands. I wish I had a good suggestion for a flipper tanto in the lower price range, but I have yet to find one. Kershaw has a few, but their quality is significantly below my Utilitac's so I'm sticking with it. Also tried the spanto grind in the Thermite and found it to be the worst of a tanto and spearpoint.
