Help with double barrel shotguns..

When I was a kid I use to hunt with an L.C. Smith12, Marlin took them over , good gun back then, 40 years ago.

I still have my 12 ga. LC Smith. Dad gave it to me when I was 14. Damn good gun! (I have been known to pull both triggers from time to time!)

I picked up a cheapie Norinco with exposed working hammers after seeing the movie "Unforgiven". I shot the bejeezus out of it with no, as Gene Hackman says "dry fire". It is relegated to behind the door duty now, but for the price it is hecka fun to have around.

Hi,

I would be careful about doing that. Elsie barrels are soft soldered together. And you could easily loosen the ribs and separate the barrels. It would be extremely expensive to have them relayed properly.

jason you should be able to check out your local dealers since they get used guns in trade all the time.they can check it out for function & safety. i'm sure you wo'nt pick out a damascus barrel but thought i'd mention they are not safe with smokeless powders. if you really want to show off get a mdl.21 win.
