help with fixed blade purchase for newb

Esee 3 is good, I think someone mentioned the bark river which is good, the beker necker whichever variation is good I like the blade shape better than the Izula (but that's just me), I don't own a blackjack but I've only every heard good things.

I've looked at all of the neck knives. The blackjack would suit me the best because of the sharp point and better steel.

I don't want 1095. My pocket knives in 1095 did rust some. Not a big deal but I want to try a super steel for better edge holding.

I'm looking for a full size (4 inch) handle preferably. The neck knives are usually less.

I don't want what most call a modified clip point. Good for skinning but nothing else for me. The esse , tops and K bars have this tip and are much thicker than I need.

This is an honest and understandable reply, thank you.

Btw, kabars 1095 CV Is much more resistant to rusting than an old fashioned pocket knife. Plus they mostly come coated.

Have a look at the Johnson Gamestalker in 440, not a super steel buy properly heat treated and at $40 is worth investigation. I think it fits your bill for a fixed edc, non clip point, won't rust, full sized handle. May want an aftermarket sheath
