Help with folders.

I'm looking for any information that people can offer that will help me to make my own folders. I know about the basic designs and stuff, but I don't know everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The Lake / Centofante / Clay book "How To Make Folding Knives" is a very valuable resource, though it deals mostly with making different types of lockbacks. Aside from that, you may try taking apart as many knives as you can to examine how they work.

Without a specific question, I can't say much more than that. I've only made a few folders (lockback and liner-lock), but I have taken apart lots of Benchmades and a number of others, so feel free to email me any questions you have and I'd be happy to offer advice if I have any.
