Give us a call and we'll work out a discount on your next knife.

Please be careful when you say something is "definitely" used. We have an excellent reputation on BF, KF and work hard to satisfy every customer. We don't sell used knives--and if we did, we would note it.

I understand your frustration. I understand saying it looks used. My preference would be for you to have given us a chance to make it right with you first.

In any event, if you contact us, we will make it right with you.

I'd like to second what Derrick is saying here. The best option when you are not satisfied with a knife is _always_ to contact the dealer before posting on a public forum. He is a quality dealer who has worked extremely hard from the day he started his business to develop a reputation as someone you can trust to treat you right. Not only would he have taken care of the problem for you, it would have saved him from having to do damage control on the internet, which is something I don't think any dealer wants to deal with.

 to Derrick. I know from personal experience dealing with Derrick of KSF that he's a stand up guy! His response here just proves that. He bent over backwards to accommodate me on a recent order.

Derrick, don't worry about a discount... I'll get over it, as I said above.
I work in a similar retail environment, and these things happen.
My point was, I was sure I could get a replacement, but really didn't want to go through with all that,
especially since I dug the color of the bone.
However, I get a little put off by being told to watch what I say...
I mean, that's just part of the business, bro, and the customer is always right.
I would never correct a customer or tell them to be careful of what they say about my company/business.
You could have left it with the first reply you gave instead of going there.
I don't think I said anything to hurt your reputation.
The blade HAD been used. Period. Two hours later, I was over it.

I REALLY don't like the tone of " we'll take care of you, but watch what you say".
Its clear you have a good reputation here.
But this is an open forum and I am entitled to say what I think... Even if you think I'm wrong.
You're also welcome to call me out if you think I'm off base.
But, in this capacity, I was a customer of yours.
I've had customers cuss me up and down, but managed to walk away happy.
Mostly, cause I never told them how they were SUPPOSED to act, I just gently lead them there.
That being said, I don't think I was off one bit.

Now that this thread has been sufficiently hijacked off track, I'm gonna close it.
Anyone who wants to continue this can PM me directly, but I have no need to continue it, myself...
