so I got this locally at a "great" price :-)
got myself a diamond penetrator

But something is not right, I could not bring the anvil up to get the dial to spin 3 times,
after 1.25 turns it got very tight, I didn't want to turn anymore, felt like something would break.if I pushed more.
Also the small dial for the red dot wants to turn CCW

would appreciate any guidance to get this working

regards
Harbeer

Here's 2 separate short videos. I'm bringing the anvil up, to the point where the dial turns around three times and it get too difficult to turn more after less than half way
(I always forget the turn the iphone sideways for a video! :-))

Sure looks like some linkage inside is screwed up somewhere causing the little dial to rotate backwards, and something is binding inside to stop ram from going up. OR - could be the big screw on ram has crudded up prevented going past the spot. Not much any of us can do remotely. Just take it apart and start looking at the parts move, then see what is binding.

Now a question for you - where did you get the diamond penetrator? Did you order one of those cheap $13 off ebay?

The ram moves ok all the way up and down without any load. It's all oiled up well

Used Penetrator off ebay but not $13 :-)

Since the screw goes up 'n down with no load, it must be something in the linkage that's binding.

Those diamond penetrators on ebay are a real deal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/252377813774? ($13). I ordered one a few months ago when they were over $20 just to test it out. Works like a champ - can't tell difference between it and the tip that came in it.

Different from my Wilson, but is your full load handle in the right position?

If it is, then something is way out of adjustment. Should be an easy fix though.
