Hi everyone I just got a kmg variable speed and can not get the belt to track . My tracking wheel is slanted way right and has no adjustment to move the belt to the right.

1. Make sure the belt is properly tensioned. The tension arm should be horizontal
for proper tracking. You adjust this by pulling the tooling in or out as needed.
This is the usual problem.

2. Make sure the wheels are all in the same plane. Rob is good at getting this right
when he assembles the KMG.

3. Try a different belt.

4. When all is well, the belt should run pretty much in the center of the wheels.

Keep us informed.

Bill

Thanks for the information. I have thr tension arm level and it still runs to the right side of my tracking wheel. I put the 10 inch wheel on and it is a little better but still not near center of the tracking wheel. I'm not sure if something is not lined up properly or what is going on. I just un boxed it and wired it up last night . Everything works great except for the tracking issues

Is there a good way to check that all the wheels are in line properly. The belts ride the center of the drive wheel and also the platen , but ride the right side of tracking wheel to where the screw for adjustment is not evening touching for thr adjustment to go to the right. Maybe I'll have to wait till Monday and call rob

Try putting the tracking wheel horizontally, no tilt in either direction. Put a belt
on and rotate the belt by hand. See if there's any change. You may have over
adjusted the tracking wheel.

the tracking wheel does have an adjustment . You are way over as Bill is saying

I responded in your other post.

did you buy this directly from beaumont? what have you loosened up so far?

ensure that centerline of wheels are in same plane. ensure that arm with taking wheel is horizontal when you release hand pressure. if that doesn't help, call Rob and he will give you further instruction.
