Hi all,

Not really a blade question.

What's the best way to "cement" two pieces of kydex together? I have a mag holder that needs to be fixed. I was thinking of JB weld, since I have it on hand.

Thanks, -dcpopo

Check out the site www.kydex.com. Look around the site, i thinkthey have a section on gluing Kydex. If I remember correctly, they recommend using a solvent.

I have tried using PVC cement ( the type uou use for PVC pipe) and it worked pretty good. I got too impatient and pulled it apart before the glue set and completelt dried.

Good luck!

I've been using kydex for necker sheaths for a couple of years, and haven't ever glued any together. I just mold it to shape and use rivets or Chicago screws to hold the seams together. That works great for me, and the rivets are pretty cheap.
