Hello BF community! I want to thank y'all in advance for your advice! I am making a set of scimitar-style knives for my brother (I'll post up some pics, I promise) and he specifically requested red stabilized spalted maple wood scales. All of the material I have seen, however, looks a bit pink in person. I understand that true, crimson red is a hard color to achieve when dyeing. So- in your experience, what course of action could I take to make the scales a bid darker red? Wood stain? Leather dye?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
