I have a friend who is a Det. with a local P.D. He is working a murder case and needs some help. A knife was used and the blade broke off. It's stamped "Regent Sheffield" and appears to be a pairing knife. Found in the house were other knives with the same brand name.
He's come up with a dead end finding any current information about the company. I gave him Bernard Levine's name for possible help. Also Mark over at Knifeworld. Does anyone here know anything at all about the company, whether it was bought out and someone may have the old records, etc.
Also, he needs someone to look at the broken blade and a sampling of the other knives (metallurgist), someone who can tell him that the blades were made of the same steel. (It's possible that this person may be called as an expert witness in the case)
THANKS...
