Help with picking the right Busse...PLEASE!!!

A CGFBM (Combat Grade Fusion Battle Mistress) -- the coated blade models, aren't terribly much higher right now than NMSFNOs on the secondary market.

Of course it depends on your price range. If price is a real issue, then Busse probably isn't for you. you can look at the "lower tier" Busse companies -- Swamp Rat and Scrapyard, they have some nice offerings in that size range, and you probably won't notice much of a performance difference unless you want to hack cement blocks and rebar all day.

Agreed. Swamp Rat SR101 has at least 90% of the performance of INFI at 50% of the cost.

Having said that, I still want a Ratweiler in INFI. :D

SR101 is indeed a mighty fine steel.

Honestly, when I buy a Busse blade, it's not for the INFI - it's because I dig the design of the knife. If a kukri was offered in SR101 or even SR77 first, I wouldn't have bought a zilla.

I wouldn't buy an old-school style SFNO, but the extra hotness of the meltdown treatment made the NMSFNO irresistible. It's the little touches Jerry puts on his flagship knives that make me pony up the extra cash. If the exact same knife was available from swamp rat for half the price and SR101 instead of INFI, I'd choose SR101 99% of the time.
