help with posting pics please

Hi folks, I have followed instructions given in the tutorial regarding picture posting, and have not had any luck.
this is what i do and all i get is a box with a red x in it

What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance

KC...are you posting from photopoint? In photopoint when you click on a thumbnail you get a pic with all the other photopoint garbage on the screen. You can click on it a second time to get a full size photo in a window all by itself. This is the type you want, where only the photo is on the screen by itself and thats all the URL will link to. Once you are sure you have the correct url, then surround that link with the image tags...there should be NO spaces between the link and the tags. Here is a photo of mine. See at the top of my post where the little icons are? Click on the 'edit post' icon, you will see exactly how I did this.
