Help with speed pot on my VFD

The insulating disc is just a plastic circle to prevent any wire or terminal from accidentally contacting the case. Anything from an old credit card to a piece of bubble pack, or even a business card will work.
If you are replacing an existing pot, the disc is probably already there.
