Sorry to ask, as this is probably a dumb question, but it seems I can't search the forums.

When I try and search, I either get the thread "Recollections of a deer camp" or just a blank page.

Naturally, I'm trying to search before I ask the same question answered a million times:)

I use XP and Firefox.........

Bodfish, I'm sorry that my thread dominates your search. :o

The blank page means your search is too broad in scope and needs to be more specific.

Here is a tip thread on using the search engine. I ALWAYS use the "Advanced Search". http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=367558

If there is no help in that tip thread and you remain unsuccessful, perhaps we can help if you'll share your search string.

Thanks, Mike, but no joy.

I was trying to find a thread or post about how you guys form belt loops using Kydex.

So my advance search string was "forming belt loop" "kydex belt loop" and "belt loop"

this was my last heading with no results

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/search.php?do=process

I read the search tutorial, too...

Maybe I'm too dumb....

Bodfish, I would simply say it's time to go ahead and start a thread on your topic. In a way you could look at the repeated failure of the search engine as a validation that it would be a useful topic. Title it well; your thread will be noted in future searches. :)

case you didnt find it i cut the kydex into strips 1-1.5 inch wide then i have a few different "scrap" blocks of wood in different sizes for different size lops then i jsut wrap and press PM me if you want more info

More times than not they are to broad. Best forum. Not best search features.
