My first thought was that this is an old Champion variation. Victorinox changed several models over the years and there are also retired models.

I think you are correct. The older style magnifier coupled with the fact that it has no parcel hook and a chisel/scraper bladed leads me to believe that it had a woodsaw at one time or another and was either broken off or removed.

Never have heard of a Vic factory second but I would guess anything is possible. Popping those scales off might reveal a mod job but they appear to be original.

I bet it's an older Champion as well. No hook tends to be consistent with being older. If the woodsaw has been broken off, couldn't you find the evidence of that?
