Help with xm-18, xm-24 size

560, 550, XM 18, Rat 1

So if I'm seeing this correctly, the 55x is about the equivalent of and XM-18, and the 56x is the equivalent of a XM-24?

That was what I meant. I have a 550, and it's a great knife, until I pull out an XM-18. I have a 24 on it's way to me, and am considering a 56x for when I want an XM-24, but can't risk losing a real Hinderer. Like in checked bags, etc.

Roger that.

I tend to carry only knives I can afford to lose in my checked luggage. But if I have to transport a valuable item, I guess my options are ship it or check it. This has been on my mind as I fly out for the upcoming suspect gathering. Whatever I buy out there has to get home somehow.
