So I won this knife when I was a child, and I'm hoping someone can tell me a little about it . it's a schrade , on the blade it says schrade Walden N.Y U.S.A then has 745 on the side. I'm new to this so idk how to upload pic or I would. The knife has three blades as well. Thanks for any input.

Are you sure it has 3 blades? Schrade Model #745 is a 2-blade "safety push-button" design: http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com...uide/schrade-knife-models-circa-1946-to-1956/

Yes iam 100% positive, how do you post pics on here??

You need to have some website to upload your photos to, e.g. google-pics/picasa or imgur or snapfish or photobucket, etc. Upload you images to your account on THAT site, then paste the URL into your post between coding brackets:

I only know that if it's a "Schrade Walden" you might want to keep it. Probably far better a knife than the current "Schrades." Probably better steel and heat treat. The old Schrade Waldens are good knives--maybe some of the best 1095 out there even now. I've had a couple, including Sharpfingers and a Deerslayer, and won't be getting rid of them.

Hang on to it until you have time to do proper research. My bet is it's a good knife.

Thanks and I'm def keeping ahold of it. Everything I've researched it keeps bringing me back to 1940-1947 when it was made. And if that's the case it's still new in box .. Hell still has the factory edge on it

Nice looking knife. I know very little about traditionals, but you might want to wipe that finger print off the blade with a soft cloth before it stains the steel :)

Thank you lol. And yes I already did I was just trying to get a good focused picture for everyone. Yesterday was the first time I've had it out in a long time.

Let me help:

That number is the serial number, it is not the model#. Check the tang-stamp on the other side of the main blade to get the model#.
The knife was made somewhere 1946 - 1973, serpentine stockman pattern, the main blade is called "Turkish clip-point", the others are sheepsfoot and spey blades, handle looks like jigged delrin

Okay I checked the other side of blade and it has no markings for identification of model #. Would this be worth anything?
