Help!!!

Okay fellas, one more question. If you had to pick a knife that Bram Stoker was probably thinking of when he gave Harker a "Great Gorka knife" what would it be.
Keep in mind, you would be limited in forms to what was around over a hundred years ago, no YCS (which is growing on me more and more, D*** you Yvsa!).
My vote, with my limited exposure would probably put it as an Ang Khola.

Bbbbut Bob, the YCS could have been around 100 years ago.
Its design is based on the old fully curved khukuris. Even down to the inlay in the handles in some of the old models.
That's what gave me the idea, after seeing an old one Terry once had.
He still kicks his own butt for letting that one get away, huh T-Bone.

And I would recommend the YCS, that way you can cut the wooden stake with the khukuri and trim it up nice and sharp with one of her little karda's.

And I really love those old ones with the inlayed handles that John Powell has in his collection.

And if you like the YCS just wait until after the new Bowie and 'Hawks models are done and I have time to work on the next H.I Special Khukuri, A Tin Chiarra based on an old one in John Powell's collection. I have had it in mind for a long time now.
It will also be a fully curved model, but no inlay or silver, probably mount it in steel.
Similar kardas to the YCS, but slimmer and more pointy.

Yvsa it is a good thing you live so far awy because its for sure you'd have me perpetually in trouble! "Awww, honey I can't mow the lawn I gotta go help Yvsa try out his latest blade/hawk/khuk ... . And yeah, I think the YCS is big, actually I thought it came in at around 20" for some reason.

Thank you Bill, that decides it! Malla!
Yvsa has made me start wondering about something. How big would the stake have to be in order to incapacitate a vampire? I mean, I doubt that a really nasty splinter in the chest would do it.

Okay, that got really off topic.
Thanks everyone,

Bob

I don't know after watching the movie, it looked a lot like a wwII.

I am thinking that the vampire slayers were carrying somthing very close to a world warI issue knife (resembling an m43) That would be around the right time period. It would also make sense of where they were (London) right after the bringing The British gurkha fighter into existence.

Please tell me if I am off base.
