If it's a satin blade you can use #0000 Steel wool or an equivelent scotch brite type pad. If it is a polished blade you can follow that up with some 1000 grit and then 1500 if it's really glossy.
If there is a blade coating you're SOL for the most part I think..
I screwed up a few blades in the early days with a Lanskey after that I started putting masking tape on the blade.
If it is only very fine hairlines on a non coated finish, you can try Flitz polish. Some good old fashion elbow grease and a few minutes time will "restore" your blade to a bright shine.
