Hemp Handled "Pocket" Knife with sheath

I used epoxy and rubbed it in with gloved fingers. The epoxy isn't to protect the hemp, it's to hold everything in place. I tried epoxying as I wrapped :barf: that didn't work well at all.

I just received this knife today, and I can't Leavitt alone:)

I'm so happy you got that in... I was getting worried about the customs people. It would have been funny if Kevin would have gotten his knife before you did.

I'm not sure if that handle will hold up to road rash :p

I really need to work on my photography don't I?

Again very ninja monkey like........ok i leave the whole ninja thing go now.....:D:D

nice job, my fingers would be blistered before i could ever figure out how to tie something like that up:thumbup:

Well you could pull the wrap off and choke someone with it or tie it to the lanyard hole and swing it around :p Very very ninja monkey like.... Andrew how much space do I need to clear in my smithy for that hammer? I've already got approval from the CIA for the safe route for your journey and you've been approved for $27.50 in per diem for the delivery of the hammer :D

I have ninja monkeys working in my shop to wrap the handles.... it's actually very easy, I put the blade in my stitching pony, tie a weight to each strand and get to twisting, it's pretty easy, hard part (as you can see) is keeping them from twisting the other way.... I'm not sure why that's happening but I think it has something to do with the strands, I didn't have this problem with a leather lace wrap. I may do a tutorial on it one day when I have spare time :o

that would be cool:thumbup:

I've made some with sealed hemp,... but tried not to inhale it. Those darn denatured alcohol or epoxy, etc., fumes will kill ya man! :D

Good score! :)

Good hemp is getting harder and harder to find these days... LOL :D

Tai, one of your small integrals with a hemp wrap was the inspiration for me doing this, that and I just love braiding things. :D I don't know how many miles of paracord I've used in the Army braiding fobs and stuff, just never occured to me to do it on a knife handle.
