This one is inspired by Rick Marchand. I wanted to make a knife for myself to use this summer but then there's bills to pay...
I wanted to try forging in the little guard and the part inspired by Rick is the geometry where the thickest part of the blade is about where the forge finish ends on the blade. There is a distal taper from there back to the butt of the handle. Well, that and the cord wrap with marine epoxy. (leather under the cord for a nicely sized handle)
I included a pic of it in hand to show that it balances easily and is not really weight forward. But with the longish handle you can grip near the butt and that gives it a little extra power to chop down your hot dog sticks.
I won't be too upset if someone doesn't want it though..
It's W2 with hamon, the sheath is treated with Obenauf's LP. The blade is about 5 1/4" from tip to the start of the wrap and 11" OAL.
Asking $old shipped.
