I was thinking about getting a camping hammock/tent, and wondered if anyone has had any experience with Hennessy Hammocks? I was specifically looking at the Expedition model. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have one but, I haven't had a chance to use it yet. They come highly recommended by many people. Be sure you have trees that will support your weight though.

Don't have a Hennesy (the whole climbing in through the bottom thing just doesn't appeal to me), but I love my Claytor Jungle Hammock.

Yup, they're super

Light, comfortable and can be set up nearly ANYwhere.

My hammock once saved my ass on a dark mountain side where the trail was so slow going that there was no way I was gonna make it to my planned camp site. The flattest bit of ground was the foot path I was hiking  and I simply set up the hammock between two trees and was comfy and happy.

In a situation like that, the whole bottom entry/exit starts to make a whole lot of sense.

I've had one and used it for the past five years or so. Really great stuff. I've got no complaints and I actually don't mind the bottom entrance. For temps in the 40's I pack a Thermarest pad and I've been pretty comfortable each night.
