I thought I'd try something a bit different, so here it is:

P1020854.jpg

This is my second ever rabbet tang hunter. The tang is just under 1/4" from the edge and extends nearly the whole length of the handle.

The desert ironwood was sawed in half and slots were milled in each scale. The scales were then dovetailed and epoxied together. The blade was inserted, epoxied and secured with 303 stainless corby bolts. The guard is 416 stainless steel.

It is a very nicely balanced knife. :)

Steel: Mirror polished ATS-34 (heat treated to HRC 60-61), hollow ground primary bevel. Not sharpened yet in the photo, but it will be sharpened with a convex edge.

Blade Length: 3-1/2"

Blade Width: 1-1/8" (at the widest)

Overall Length: A hair under 8"

Stock Thickness: 3/16"

Handle: Desert Ironwood with 303 Stainless Corby Bolts

Price: SOLD -includes a Loveless-style leather sheath with the cam-feature (not yet made) and shipping in conus.

(If you don't want a sheath and can make your own, feel free to deduct $50 from the price as I'd prefer working with steel :D).

First "I'll take it" is the owner. I accept paypal and money orders.

Thanks for looking.
