I forged this from 52100 high carbon steel and heat treated it in my Evenheat furnace to Rc 60. This has a flat grind with a slight convex finished with 400 grit and cork belts. I stabilized the spalted maple handle with Cactus juice resin and colored it with red dye in the vacuum chambers
Overall length is approximately 9 inches with the cutting edge at 4 3/4 inches
