• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Here are some pictures of some hatchets and hawks I refurbished and modded...

They turned out Great, You sure do some Very Nice Work, They'll make a real nice Camp Hatchet/Belt Hatchet, Thank's for sharing more picture's of your Work, There "Beautiful"

Thanks again Snake. I'll do much better when I learn how to do everything right. But, there's nothing like having a project like this to get one's feet wet. LOL!

I'm just curious to know if anyone else uses vinegar or anything else to put a patina on their ax/hatchet heads? It works great on my Mora high carbon blades.

Sorry the pictures aren't better...
What brand is the 5th pic?
Hatchet15.jpg?
Looks nice!!!

There is some dude on EBAY who POLISHES old hatchets
They are super shiny
Almost chrome looking
They seem to command a pretty good price..........

I got a bunch of heads I need to make handles for
I am kind of addicted to buying old hatchet heads;)

Hatchet 15 is a Plumb hatchet. I actually bought this one new about 25 years ago and decided to refurbish it along with the others. It originally had a dark red handle and black head.

I think I would have a hard time parting with my collection. Besides, if I thin them out I'll probably give them to my sons and SILs.
