Here Come The CABS, LCABS, and SCABS!!!!!!

Are there typically SE releases from Busse after the LE release like from the company store? I don't remember how the BWM went. I've never purchased or followed any production release direct from Busse.

Usually, they're simultaneous. So there may or may not be a CG version.

Simultaneous LE and SE up there at the same time? Has that been the case in the past? I'm just not big on numbered knives, but I loves me some satin. Its a tough call whether or not I should wait out the SE.

SEs, IIRC, are sort of rare... like the 2007 SE set of several knives, or random ones that end up in Skunk's store. LEs, on the other hand, often run in parallel with the CGs of a given model.

If these CABS/etc end up being real limited and not offered in a CG version, seems they ought to have been SEs instead of LEs - if the logic of the nomenclature is consistent. Right?

Edited to add: I don't recall any SEs being offered direct from Busse Combat - only from shows (like the 2007 SE set) or from Skunk's store. Is there something I'm forgetting?

My wild-assed guess: these won't be offered in a CG version, and really ought to have been labeled as SEs rather than LEs. Don't know why, just a hunch.

Dang, I go to meet the teacher last night and I got schooled:(

Drove off and left me on the short bus.....

Thanks to all the HOGS for the lack of the heads up:p:D

No, simultaneous LE and CG. Typically, the only way to get satin on a direct order from Busse is the LE.

So we don't know if CG will be offered in the future, and if it will have the same specs. It is also possible that we could get other variants through the Skunker store. That might depend on what Scott and Jerry think the market might be for a given version.

Gotcha... so basically if I want satin and don't want to take any chances I should order now. :D Not to mention I really like the black paper... which will probably never show up again. *sigggghhhhh* Yer killing me Jerry, KILLING ME!! :D

Man, I almost missed it myself last night. I checked my computer right before going to bed last night and there was this thread. I thought for sure you were pulling some stealth ninja HOGFU action on this one.:p;)

The first year of the SE(Speacial Editions) were at Blade 07, and the Ganza that followed. They were not satin, they were DC.
The next were at Blade 08, and the ganza that followed, and those where Satin.
They were not numbered, but had the "Speacial Edition" marking.

There was also the compitition finished SE's at Blade 09, and the following ganza.
They wasn't sold at the BCS, unless it was Skunks personnal set(as far as I know).

I don't think there will be an SE, but think the BCS may get some of these in CG. Maybe even a future ganza could have some in satin... but I wouldn't count on it and would order now. Then again I may be totally wrong:p

Well, I mean SE like the satin, non numbered SE's from skunk's shop. Not the year marked SEs that came out in 07 and 08 and such. The SAR3 had several SE versions, as did the SAR8. I'm just curious if there will be any cheaper, non-numbered satin versions regardless of what they're called. But it's a moot point... I'll probably just grab one of these LEs. Thanks though.

Oh, I got ya. I didn't get a SAR and had forgot all about those being called SE's. Not sure why those were called SE's.

calling those SARs SEs is like calling Pumpkin OJ...

a mistake, IMO, which makes things confusing.
