Here is Edd's double edge with handle guard. Pix. What do you think?

Very interesting blade indeed...

Having it a lb lighter and losing those 'horns' would certainly be a plus. I think I just might have to...

Hold on.. Im still waiting for that Tarwar..maybe afterwards...

Seriously, Im interested in a ligher vers. of the blade as well, but dont sign me up yet..gotta go easy on my bank account for a while.

Nice knife though

I for one love the design, its definitely got a feirce look, and is even more intimidating than a regular khukuri.Somehting to think about ...which antique knives are the most interesting? In my opinion, the oddities, the ones that are different than normal and you cant really explain why.In 100 years people may be asking, what the hell is this thing? Its not quite a khuk but then again it is...? Not to mention,it might be the only one ever made or that ever will be made.I love it.

BTW uncle,i should be back soon.School just started, and unfortunately books come before Khukuris.

... like a cutlass

A period piece, from a little known but nevertheless legendary bit of naval history in the last decades of the age of sail - Gurkhas of the Caribbean!

arr dee arr dee theta!

This one brings back memories but it came back hopped into my mid when I saw the knife. The converstion from rectangular to polar co-ordinates. Now imagine 60 people in a room muttering that.

Will

I can see it now... the Jolly Ghorka will be flying in the wind and Long Sirupati Bill will be on the poopdeck with his trusted sidekicks....Bill with the D-guard Khukuri and the rest of us with our deadly kagas katnes....and we'll be all singing "Yo...Ho and a bottle of Kukri Rum......"

WOW ! WOW ! WOW ! Now that I got the wows out of the way , I'd like to say that the workmanship on this blade is beyond belief. Thank you Uncle Bill , and my deepest thanks to Sanu for making my imagination come true. The brass work is fantastic , the blade is a dream , and the finish on the grip is perfect.
Now on to the weight factor. ... This is deffinately a HEAVY-WEIGHT ! However , it is lighter than my forged Broadsword by 1 1/2 lbs. You do notice the weight more with the forward curve , but it is not uncontrollable.
If anyone else does order one , thin down the blade and this is the perfect shortsword.
I say shortsword because it just oozes WEAPON , not utility blade . Many thanks to all at HI .
