Some wonderful suggestions here folks. I think the greatest thing I learned from this thread is that my original requirements are not set in stone as I like so many of the choices offered. Ugh.
I also did not realize how reasonably priced some of the custom/handmade knives can be. Truly remarkable.
I am looking forward to the Bark River Fox River which will be a more stout version of the highland. Very intriguing.
Graham knives also intrigue me, but it seems like every knive they have is sold. Not sure if they can be ordered special or not. I will dig a bit deeper.
Dozier is growing on me too. Those drop points are beautiful knives.
I tend to think the Buck Vanguard is one of the best looking Bucks out there. I REALLY wish that the Cabella S30V version was not coated, but even the normal Buck steel is said to be good. More decisions...
