Here it is. . the Combat Grade "Internal Affair" (cool pic)

Ed,

Did I make that. . . or did you? Now you've got me confused!

Thanks for making me question my own sanity. ;)

It's a bad sign when you start loosing track of what you been grinding. It's those long late hours that does it! Of course, there's been several breakout from the shop. I wonder if IA "Shorty" borrowed a truck wanting to see its Flying cousins? :D

You know, If I "flew" it. .. I could lose another 1/2 ounce. . . .hmmmmm. . . . stand by for take off. ;)

....and yes I was flooded with emails on the Internal Affair (cool name huh? - I may not be able to take pics like some people but I do have a knack for names!).

anyway, the bad news is that all three of these beauties (CG, Ironwood handles and the fancy "carbed" blade) are all already spoken for.

even worse news is that Jerry doesn't want to make anymore of them. Why? Cuz its so darn difficult getting the He (that's helium for you elemental-challenged) into the steel !!

But don't worry, I am sure that we can come up with some other neat pieces to make you equally as excited.......(no hints here...!)

Welcome back Contender. Maybe you can tell us what ball-park prices these blades went for? More importantly, how do we Busse-addicts get access to such blades? Are they just snapped up by the first guy who sees a post after Jerry's fertile (and apparently frenetic) imagination has created another work of art in steel, OR, are these carefully thought out pieces coming from the Custom Shop on special order by secret and very wealthy Central and South American buyers? (I'm a Tampa boy too, just living out of state for awhile...).

As you can see by the posts, we're all reeling from the deluge of variants. It would be great to have a way to get one! I know, maybe I could just call, with a credit card number handy.... then I could describe what I'm interested in, and someone would carefully write it down... soon, dedicated craftspeople and metal working artisans would get to work designing and making my blade... within just a few weeks Jerry would call and say "John, it's ready, we're shipping it today after the Blade picture shoot,".... Maybe even....Naaaaaaaaahhhhhh! Back to reality.

The Variants are essentially from Jerry's very fertile imagination - so their appearance is not something that we you can count on.

Tonight, and again tomorrow night (for anyone who misses their chance this evening) we are putting up a Variant - at a discount - so that everyone has a chance to buy it - fairly and squarely.

As for the "wealthy South Americans buyers" they typically order Customs as opposed to Variants, which are a bit more expensive.

But I would be very happy to hook you up with one of those as well!:D
