Here she is boys!!

Im not sure Id strip it or not-maybe let it do it over time on its own---its not a food prep blade so the coating coming off a little wouldnt matter--plus I like that micarta on black look---just my 2 pennies

I'd leave the coating too, less to worry about if you're every chopping through a bunch of brush in a wet environment. Plus it does look nice with the micarta on black. Congrats on the score!

I envy you and want to ride that knife off your hands direct to mine...

Also strip and blue it the old coating is bad, bluing will give better resistance and wont drag on anything...

If its done well it doenst matter where it comes from. Some pretty good things are made outside...

just don't chop xmas trees. voids the warranty :D

Thats a tough one. I would rather Ethan stuck to his guns and kept all Beckers made in USA. Even if we dont get a BK6

What he said.

100%-

It's not about the quality - it's about preserving jobs!

Well, I am the fan of free market. But this no place to discuss politics even more with a stranger on the internet...

(By the way Brazilian guy here)

Sorry for the incovenience

Thanks Guys!
This is an awesome blade.

So it seems like half of you would strip it and the other half of you would not..? haha

I think I might let it ware off a little then strip her, only because that is a lot of surface to do a patina on or even some etching.
Might be able to do something really unique with all that real-estate!!

I am gonna make a bad ass leather sheath for her fo-sure!!

Congrats man, wouldn't mind having one of those myself.

Thanks, and you would definitely enjoy one of these in your collection!!

wow.. nice score man.. this is making me want to get my blank (BK6) ground out and all dressed up...i haven't been in a position to be able to do so as of yet.... use it well.

Thanks tman and I know what you mean. I only got this one cause it was a good price and its gonna be such a pain to grind my BK-6 blank right now and get it heat treated and all. I want to do it my self cause it is really expensive to get it done by a pro, and I like a challenge.

Awesome new tool you've got there...I know this might not sit to well with you guys but if the BK-6 came back as a made in Taiwan knife would you still buy it?

Thanks Cam, and I don't know if I would or not? Even if I didn't already have this one.
One thing that really draws me to Ethan's Blades (Besides the fact that they are awesome designs and take massive beatings with no problem) is the fact that they are made in the USA. Don't want to get to in-depth and political here, but I think one of the major downfalls of America at this point in time is the fact that so many American companies have moved manufacturing overseas just to get the end price of the product to be cheaper. IMO if we moved everything back the the USA, there would be more jobs, therefore more money flowing through the US economy, and therefore most americans would be able to afford a better quality product made in America by American workers.

That's just my opinion by the way.
I do buy still buy stuff from over seas of course but try to avoid it when ever possible.

Sorry for ranting and being so honest about that but Im pissed at where our country is headed. I'll stop now. Haha..

Strip it, then beat on it. Then get bored of it and sell it to me. :D

Sounds good to me!!! and when you get tired of that awesome Warrior Machax you just picked up, let me know and we can trade!! :)

Sweet score! Dress it up and make it pretty, then spend the rest of your time punishing it for daring to look so good!

Now this is a plan!!

just don't chop xmas trees. voids the warranty :D

Are you serious??? I was really looking forward to taking her to the Christmas Tree farm this year... ugh.. guess I will bring my 9.
Such a bummer.....
