Here we go again! More new toys for the woods!!

I have to say, I'm glad that I don't live too close to guys like mtnfolk mike and gunknifenut! Most likely if we hung out we'd be divorced, homeless and broke (But we'd have a TON of awesome knives to show for it :D)

actually that doesn't sound half bad...:D less is more stay poor...:) we would be able to hunt, forage and fish for all our food....

i don't know if any of you guys know scibeer(bill) he lives a few minutes from me and we hang out pretty regularly.... he's a cool dude... he is the master of SAK mods and pen making..... not to mention his flashlight collection kicks butt....

Yeah..and someone who would go off on a trail or cut a new one with you, and not think its boring to make a cool camp and has the patience to wait for a fire started the hard way. All my buds now just whip out thier bic's and laugh..lol. I am leaving for the North East on next monday, driving up, and I am bringing the whole collection with me. I am gonna make a permanent camp and be there for about 4 weeks! I have to work during the day, but from about 4PM on, I'll have some free time to go out and mess around, not to mention, I'm working on the house out in the middle of the woods..so no driving..4 WEEKS! Crazy! I have several weird things planned....I shouldn't even go here, but I want to live catch a Fisher Cat!! I doubt I will succeed...but building the trap outta natural materials will be fun. And planning it out..will get alot of laughs outta you guys...who knows, maybe it will work, and I'll get my face ripped off!! I just found out there is a Moose in the woods and a bear....tons of deer, beaver, raccoons, porcupines, rabbits, squirrels, chipmonks, and every cool bird you can think of, including Owls, I love taking pics of Owls..I hope to fill the thread with bad ass pics...that is my mission!

Sounds awesome, hope you can post lots of pics! I am lucky to be getting away for 5 days up to the Sierras. Can't wait for the weekend to come, sitting here at work I am just going crazy!

Gene, have a great time. I've got a weekend trip planned the end of the month in the PA. mountains. Minimal gear/Nessmuk weekend. Nessmuk trio of cutting tools only. Hatchet, 4" fixed blade and a traditional slipjoint.
