Here we go!

Congrats on the TGLB! You are going to love it  Do you plan on taking it out and beating on it or is it going to be strictly a safe queen?

Beat on it. The first outing for this knife will be Caddo Lake. Then I want to order a zombie skin sheath for it so it will be home and I'll switch back to my Ontario 12" machete and Swiss army knife for big Bend, then it's back to Colorado for a visit where it will work some more. In between those I'll find chores for it. The Busse reputation is what I'm buying first and foremost. The TGLB was the package I wanted it in first, lol. My next one will be SOB, or the mean Street.

Heading to the Chisos....I like Study Butte really small but really small....however I also like Terlingua couple good Ol' beer joints...Summer there is like walking on the Sun... However if you're up on top of the mountain its a bit more tolerable...You can work that TGLB out hacking on the Mesquite brush!!!!

Yes sir! I have wanted to be on foot in Big Bend since I was a kid. The Chisos are on the list in a huge way. I'm hoping my Girlfriend will go to.

You can take her to dinner in Terlingua at the Starlite Theater Old Movie theater thats been turned into a restaurant and they have live music....There is a local band there the "Pinche Gringos" lots of fun music!!!!

The TGLB is a great choice and I'm sure you'll love it. My first Busse was a TGLB. Then a TG Crusader. Then a couple of Mean Streets.:D

That sounds like a creation from David Brown's wicked imagination.... Great choice!

I think they are good looking! I picked up a basic 11 and I'm looking at sheathing that with Mr. Brown to, but nothing to fancy. I have a trip in the next couple weeks that involves a good bit of wet and buggy. Basic 11 Will get a work out. Look for picture from that.

David will set you up right. He's my go to kydex guy. I too, like to keep things simple. He did great with a knife that I've sent him from a local knife maker.

Yup, I'll be keeping an eye out for those pics:)

Ya. If you are ever in or near Austin let me know. Where I go you need only chip on on beer and ammo, and cut some cedar and you can shoot them with impunity.
