I am going to go home tonight and make dinner with a huge, brutal chef's knife I got at a yard sale for 50 cents. The carbon steel blade is about a foot long, and wicked sharp. I'm sure I could use it to inflict all kinds of damage on a human body.

My take on it is that laws are much less expensive than funding local street patrol police protection, AND the noteriety that the Drs. get will get them attention as "forward thinkers" among their peers. It can't be that these folks actually think that this would inhibit criminal behavior.

It's like the tax law in ?Ohio?Iowa? that says that all illegal substances must have a state tax stamp on them, so if you are caught with pot or whatever and don't have the stamp, you are inviolation of the law. Of course, if you bring the illegal drugs in to get the stamp.... sheez.

But then, I would favor the passing and strict enforcement of legislation that would incarcerate (and possibly hospitalize) soccer hooligans.
 
I bet soon they are going to have to ban forks and butter knives too. We will all have to eat our food with spoons. That's okay, because the top 10 chefs say that almost anything can be pureed or ground up into a paste not unlike baby food.

But, what will we do about the blades in the food processor?
 
The day will come when people who can bench press over 200 or so pounds are taken away to rehabilitation camps, strapped to beds, and fed chicken fat until they are no longer a threat to society.

This is a classic of walking the tightrope between total freedom of movement by citizens ( which puts you at the mercy of those who will move within that freedom to get at us), and having such tight security that law abiding citizens perceive their freedom to be eroding away....In an imperfect world, compromises tend to come back to bite you in the @$$, so I for one would opt for the freedoms we have come to expect ( paid for by the blood of our forefathers) and depend on an armed and watchful citizenry to cover each others backs. We will incur loses (the price of freedom carries foreward to each new generation), but that freedom is to be preferred to being suffocated by a government that, in the long run, probably can't protect us any better than we can protect ourselves. Most all of the armed encounters I have had were totally over in a few seconds (except for calling for EMTs), so 3 to 5 minute response times by police are a joke. In my game, help arrived in to render aid, pick up the pieces, and prefer charges on the survivors....
 
Once again the English have demonstrated that they are a has been power. First it was guns, then BB and pellet guns, then plastic toy guns and water pistols, then swords, and now anything pointy. The idiots haven't figured out yet that the amount of violence in a society is inversely proportional to the number of guns in a society and the number of people allowed to carry them.

And this from the country that gave us the Magna Carta! Our Constitution is indirectly based on that great document, that guaranteed that all free men would forever have the liberties of "free and natural" subjects. That of course included the right to own weapons. Of course they've had 800 years to decay since then and piss away that legacy. What a difference a hundred years can make. From the sun never setting on the world-wide British Empire, to a 4th rate third world hellhole, overrun with immigrants looking for free socialized goodies, a socialized health care system that is the worst on the planet (unless it's Canada's that copied the UK model), to exporting their failed socialist joke to Canada and Australia, and a totally defenseless populace, conditioned to be so hoplophobic that they would rather die than fight back.

The classic example of their embedded anti self-defense attitude was in WWII when their home guard begged US citizens for their rifles and shotguns and handguns with which to defend their island against the Germans. The NRA ran ads in the American Rifleman asking citizens to send their guns off to help their criminally unprepared and defenseless cousins across the atlantic. American citizens responded by sending thousands of guns overseas, with the sole request that they be returned when the war was done. A few folks had their name and address inscribed on brass plates and affixed to the stock to make sure their guns were returned. After the war, and after we had saved their ass, the British Government rounded up most of the donated guns and torched or shredded or melted them down! The fools had not even learned their lesson of being caught defenseless. The war was over, why would anyone need a gun any longer!? And since everyone knew the world would be safer without all those nasty guns, they just took it upon themselves to destroy the valuable personal property of the people that had just helped them! Unbelievable...

They deserve whatever they get, and I hope it's worse than anyone even can imagine. It will be a good object lesson to the rest of the world of the sheer mind-numbing stupidity and ineptitude of a socialist society governed by fools and governing a population of mostly uncaring sheep. (Excluding our UK Cantina members of course! Hide your khuks guys!)

I just can't believe the complete lack of understanding.

They might remember their history, but apparently can't remember what happens to those that can't defend themselves.

They should remove the three lions off their red shield and replace them with either possoms or sheep.
