The dies that some are using to forge to shape are simple they are using a round pipe cut in half one half is top the other the bottom welded to plate
to build build plate to mount the pipe to center weld one side this will be the top die --place the bottom round lined up with the top compress a little to flatten the tops them weld the other sides .
the dies run front to back centered the rounded edges will drew the bevels for the edges and the flat will build the tapers in the blade
it takes a little getting used to but its doable just be sure you go slow and very hot --(stay hot) its a slit of center so dont over do it hope this helps you some ---
