well, here is a few pics from this past weekends camping trip...
the place, that we thought was going to be some-what of a hotsprings resort, turned out to be a total flop...:thumbdn: the place looked more like a trailer park/gypsy encampment, than a resort... it was horroble... to top it all off the place was $30 flipp'n dollars a night... and it was not close to the beach at all...
we arrived there on fri. afternoon and basically unloaded and made dinner.. we sat around the fire that evening and discussed other options.. so the next morning we ate breakfast, and then my friend jay and I set out on a recon trip.. we went to 2 other camp spots/state parks, near by, but no avail... finally we decided to check one last spot.. MONTANA DE ORRO state park.. low and behold, there were a ton of spots and they were only $11 bucks a night too... we then raced back to the other spot, broke camp and got a refund...
this place is amazing.. i think it's about an 8,000 acre park, loaded with trails... the camp sites were pretty much right on the beach too... it only took us about 6-7 min. to walk there... the kids loved it.. we went with a few other families, there were lots and i mean lots of kids.. it was crazy... my wife came home on sunday with a few other folks that had to go to work, i stayed back with the ladies and the kids....
we all had a blast... here's a few pics.. i didn't take very many...
my little RAV-4 kicks butt...
this is or friend jay and krsti's rig... this thing is sweet.. the canvas tent attaches right to the bus...
found this rock and thought it would make a good socket for a bow drill.
