Here's a picture of Yangdu with a village khukuri that was taken maybe ten years ago. The only thing I can remember about this knife is it had a solid brass bolster and buttcap. But if you compare it to Rusty's village khukuri you will get an idea of the great variation in size and style the village kamis make.

That is huge, Bill. Looks about the Size of the big A.K.

Good grief Bill, what do you do w/ a knife like that? Cut Toyota trucks in half, chop off the tops of mountains? Cliff could probably demolish a whole house with it (and write an outstanding review after).

My dad has a back porch that needs to come off his house. Don't laugh, Uncle Bill. You might get a write-up out of that.

Take pictures, Mike! Just be sure everybody is out of the way when the porch comes crashing down.

You just don't understand...

That porch has been 'about to be torn off' for the past 7 years now...we finally have a realistic timeline for it's removal. This is an event that will likely be covered by everyone in my family with a camcorder or a 35mm camera...to say nothing of the neighbours, who have habitually looked at my dad's place with a jaundiced eye- it is likely dragging down property values.

Me hacking through rotten walls and paneling with a wickedly curved blade will certainly be one of the highlights. And hey, Jaeger? I'll make sure one of the pics has me in two-fisted destructo-mode...khukuri in the right hand, Yuengling in the left.
