Here's mud in your eye!

Hi,

I was wondering how the Hell Razor felt it hand compared to say:

1) Satin Jack Tac
2) SWKW M6
3) SWKW Camp Tramp
4) NOE
5)ZTNO

I ask because I'm still searching or the perfect 6-7" blade for me.

Of those, I only have the Hell Razor and the Satin Jack Tac. They're pretty close in size and weight. My Mud Razor and my Satin Jack Tac feel pretty much the same to me. There is a big difference between the regular and the magnum scales though. I much prefer the feel of the magnums.

Since John covered the SJ-Tac, I'll mention the Razor/M6. The Razor feels much livelier in the hand. It's lighter, more agile.. like a fighter. This one is my new favorite Busse..

The M6 feels (at least to me) to be more of a sharpened pry bar. It's big 'n beefy. When you pick one up, you KNOW that you have some steel in your hand. If you need an affordable Wauseon blade, one that you can stab your way out of a car wreck, or pry open large wooden crates, then here's your knife.. ;)

I have to echo Schuey's comments.

I just got my Mud Razor and I like the thin blade. It's lighter than the M6, but the extra length should make it chop just as well.

Aesthetically, I like the proportions of the Mud Razor much better than the M6.

I also got a Public Defender in the Extravaganza and it's really nice. It is made with thicker stock and the point of the tanto is thicker than I expected. I bet it could punch through 1/4" steel plate, but it's so nice I'll never try it. The combination of thick steel and short length guarantee a knife that will always be able to take more than I can dish out.

On another note, I am putting off purchasing a sheath for my Public Defender because it's a perfect fit in the Howling Rat pouch sheath that I got from Swamp Rat.

I know that I'm missing pictures, I'll try to fix that this weekend.
