Hmm, perhaps the sprint runs are stretching it, but you can usually find a Para2 in my pocket:

I get the feeling I would like the S30V version as well. Ergonomics are excellent:thumbup:. It's light, it's slim, it slices, and it dices. Opening and closing is buttery smooth and easily done with one hand. Contours are well done on this knife to provide a good grip even when wet. An excellent workhorse EDC for every cutting task.

Ah, JTR357, your's is but a BM 635 mini-Skirmish! I still like the 630 Skirmish better - my 635BK resides in a knife stand most of the time. Of course, that is why we have so many choices... mine are several, too - see below:

I should add my ZT-0551 to the mix. Little matter - I have two 630 Skirmish's - it's my favorite - even if it is a pocketful!

Stainz

PS I'd probably miss the recurve... and Krein isn't doing that work anymore.

I like the 635 because it seems to pack a lot of blade in such a small handle.

Some sweet blades you got ther4e stains.

 My question is a simple one,

...in a thread about "Favorite Production Knives" the OP shows us a Modified knife,

...does that knife still qualify as a production knife?
YES :)

All of my favorite knives are either customs or modified knives. ;)

Mine too.I like CRK's & Hinderers too a lot,a damn lot!
I'm just diggin this mini skirmish more than all the others for quite awhile now.

Can't we just discuss our favorite production knives without going into the whole "Oh that's been modded,so that's not a true prodo model"?

My fave is probably the Case/Bose lockback whittler collaboration. This is an extremely difficult and complex pattern to do well (the two small slipjoint blade springs also power the main lockbar) and they nailed it.

Rick,

Where would one acquire this knife? I'm sure it was limited production......still willing to give it a shot though! PM me if necessary. Thanks in advance.

The XM-18 and the Military. I'm not sure whether I like the Para or the Millie better but I don't currently have a Para:

For me it would be a hard choice between my Spyderco Military and Benchmade 710. I guess the Millie would probably win by a nose though. If we were talking semi-productions then it would be a Chris Reeve Sebenza without a doubt!

For my specific needs I would have to say that the Bedlam is my favorite production knife.

Im addicted to my ZT 0551 with custom scales from tuff knives. I also carry ZT 0301, Benchmade 950 Rift, Spyderco Civilian, ect. I love knives!!!!! Sorry no pics.

Wow. She's a beauty.

My current fave is the BM H&K 14205.
Everything I want in a modern folder if only it had foliage green scales..
