Thank you all for your encouragement and sugestions with my first knife. I finished my second knife over the weekend. The steel is 1/10" CPM S30V @ 58 Rc. Handles are spalted maple burl with stainless mosaic pins and thong hole. Bolsters are black linen micarta with pins of the same. Handle is 4.75" & blade is 3.5". Any suggestions, comments and opinions are appreciated.

that is a very nice looking knife. I especially like the combination of contrasty wood with the black liners and G10 bolsters. Very cleanly made.
A very fine small game knife, that's for sure.

I really like the knife. You're grinds are especially nice. I'm partial to stainless steel bolsters though. Great work!

Another great looking knife! You've really got an eye for nice wood grain! The fit between the wood and Micarta looks excellent!

Looks great! The handle may be a little long? (hard to tell from a picture)

You can see a classic Sebenza shape in that blade, and the grind also looks very CRK. IMHO that's not a bad thing.

Thanks for sharing it with us.

I actually handled this knife...VERY NICE...I don't think the pictures do it justice myself...Keep up the nice work Matt!

Your work has a VERY clean look to it. I also wouldn't choose micarta for bolsters, but the knife looks really nice.

For being your second, that's pretty darn nice, good job.

Keep them coming.

I REALLU like you knives. I was also thinking that I would LOVE too see knife with a Damascus bolster too.

I just have to pipe up in favour of the composite bolster. I think it makes a lot of sense for this knife. It was a well thought out decision to use it, from a practical standpoint.

I give it a 10! Very well done, I really like the micarta bolsters:thumbup:

It seems like you are creating a knifemaking and blade grinding
style that will easily become recognized as yours.....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

The way I see it, the handle needs to fit the hand regardless of how large or small the blade is. Nifegrinder obviously knows this. Beautiful work nifegrinder! Keep it up!
