no, I dont have small hands but I think the camera angle on that first pic makes the knife look really big.. lol. Its the same size as a large sebenza, don't let anyone tell you different. But it does have a different personality than the large sebenza... for example, I had to drive it into a phone book just to see what page I could get to - I never felt compelled to do that with my sebenza.

For you longtime users, surely the 'Zaan is really not that large of a knife. The SMF and the XM-24 are both considerably larger, and still not that large. Heck, six inches is generally considered a medium sized fixed.

can i ask....is the umnum sharpened on both sides near the tip? i can't tell from the pictures, but it seems like that would be odd in a folding knife?

The swedge is thin, but not sharpened.

Not fully sharpened, but definitely sharpened. It bites the fingernail, but dooes not readily push cut through 60# paper .
