Let's see if we can get this pix to post.

If we get some takers we'll make this sword shown in the top pix. I think James Liu has signed up already.

Put me down for one. I have always that these were good looking swords.

I have been looking at weapons that are called 'Tarwars'. It is a really loose term. A lot of what determines what region they are from.

Gee, a custom sword from the Kamis of BirGhorka? Too easy, yes, oh yes, yes, yes!!

I'll take one

I'd like to have one too. If you need ideas for the hilts, here are two NOT to do, since I have them already:

Like some others (I think Howard or John P) said on the old thread, the pommels would be better with a rounded disc instead of a flat one.

That Uncle can do. I believe I have 4 or 5 myself. Ask him.

Okay we have *almost* Five! We need one more, come one take one for the team!

If it is from Birgorhka it is the best and getting better.

:
I went to the sword forum to ask about polishing and hamon lines on the old swords.
I got an interesting reply from Robert and he also confirmed my suspicions about polishing and etching.
I don't know if it would be possible without the proper polishing agents that were used on the very old Japanese blades to bring out the temper lines on the H.I. products, but I have been thinking about giving it a try, especially on my YCS.

It would be interesting to see what the EK and Tarwar would be like done the old way.
And now if or when the sabers get made the same polishng techniqes could be tried on them as well.

I don't know if I want a saber, but I am getting pretty convinced that I do want an EK.

What about the specifications for the handle? Will Bura & Co. make these bigger for our larger hands? Would these come with plain blades and handles or would some engraving be standard?

Btw, I may have missed it somewhere, but what would the price be, roughly speaking?

Harry

OK, now you have five. Put me down for one.
But I am not too sure if I really would like the classic Indian Tarwar handle with the large disk pommel and a grip lenght, which might not be suited too well for european/american hands. Moreover, although a finger guard might be useful, I am not sure if I really want it... BTW, does the Nepalese interpretation of the Tarwar have the typical short, heavy and rounded quillons? Would love to see how the Kamis interpret those. OK, enough complaints and wishes, put me down for one... hope, my tax return will turn out as high as I expect it to be
