I plan to restore them to as near authentic condition as possible. (Two of them are almost perfect as is.) I'll post pictures of them when I'm finished with the reconditioning.
 
Here's another one I just bought. I'm waiting now for the seller to send me the shipping amount. I can't wait to get started on them.

Nice project. Like you said not to much to do on a couple of them just a good clean up.

do you like plumb or any good old hatchet? I got a few but trying to figure out now camera, the old one broke. Pat
 
I'm not hung up on plumb. I also bought these this week:

The hammer/hatchet is a Vaughan No. 99 Professional. I think the other one is a Boy Scout hatchet.
