Hey guys, Bruce's dyed cowbone is cool stuff. 2 people, non-knifeknuts, thought that the cowbone handle on my bowie was some sort of stone.

Yup, the dyed bone is a winner Bruce. Let's go with it for that project we've been talking about!:D Is it that blue in real life or is it just an artifact of lighting? You were saying it was more of a green....
 
Peter,This one is more Blue.I have a set of scalews picked out for your project that have more green in them.I will take a picture today and send it to you so You can see if you like them..The colros just depend on what i use and how I dye the Bone and how dry or greasy the bone is when dyeing it,It is almost like Damascus as you really don't know what it will look like untill you grind some off and buff it.I have been trying different ways of applying the dye to make it look really natural and not artificial,My Budy Chuck Helton has been trying different ways also and he did a set of scales that Alex Daniels put on one of his folders and when he finished it and showed it to people they thought that he had some of the pretiest bark Ivory they had ever seen,and that is the look we have been trying for..
