HEST/Folder Packaging Tin Uses...

After seeing the cool tins that come with the LE's, and since I have two LE's paid for which will come with tins, I decided to order one of the Adventurer Survival Kit Box's from bestglide.com. Made out of aluminum with the same type of latches that the SAS uses. Plus a bit larger and half the cost. Should be pretty good for the money.

Here are the pictures of the SAS Tin compared with the standard Altoids type tin, Otter 1000, and Otter 2000 boxes. You'll see in the pics that the Otter 2000 is longer and looks like it would hold more but it's not even close! Because the Otter Boxes are so thick the inside is fairly small. The SAS Tin holds quite a bit more than the 2000. The size of the SAS Tin is 5" x 3.5" x 1".

Here's a few pics of my new HEST I just bought. I wanted to get 2nd one before the supplies of the Rowen versions were all gone. Just thought I'd throw them in here.

I took a look a Trueways and couldn't find the tin straight from their home page. I had the link of the tin saved cause I was totally interested in getting one.

Is that a Kifaru pack? I have been staring at a the Pointman and Zulu for a while.

Good eye. it's an X-Ray with 2 Mid-Long Pockets on it, one on each side and an organizer on the back. I absolutely love it!
