OK. I'm convinced. Just placed my order with knifeworks and they already confirmed that my order shipped. Thought about waiting for the new and improved but went for the classic and now discontinued one. That will leave me the option for the new one too. Thanks for the feedback guys. This knife will go with me to Dangerous Places like a hay pasture, an old barn, spooky rural gas stations, and who knows.. maybe southside OKC (ooooooh). If something needs to be pried I'll have the tool. Liking that bottle opener. Sure could use it right about now.
 
I did the mod on my pry bar for one reason, it allows me a fee hand to work the door latch while I pry my frozen truck door open, which happens a good bit when I am out taking photos here in the winter time, and free my wipers.

I've used it to open paint cans, as a screwdriver, pried apart the trim around a car windshield, door trim, base trim on the wall, pulled up tile/linoleum, scraping... lots of stuff. The pommel also hammers. I've beaten the hell out of it and it still performs. Once I figured out a way to keep the point from poking a hole in my shirts it was no problem using it as my edc.

Its all good. If you can't share second hand HEST Prybar Porn with close friends....who can you share it with???
 
I use mine sometimes for paracord work.
It helps tuck in the ends of cords or get them through tight buckles easier than by hand.

These arn't tasks you really want to do with a sharp blade, it could cut the work or your hand.
