I just got my HEST! It's a sweet little knife. I can't wait until RAT makes a non-numbered version I can beat up on. Anyways, pics with RC-6!

Your not putting this one to use bro? Man i'm trying to beat the shit out of mines, thats what they made for. But if you a collector than its cool. I got # 187 tryin to find some animal for it to murder!
 
I'm not a collector. I just don't want to ruin this one since it's numbered. I know the knives can take abuse, but that's my personal preference.

I hope you don't murder an animal just for shits and giggles....
 
I don't blame you a bit for wanting to keep your numbered one clean iggyd, to each his own. Also I believe what Snoop4o8 may have meant he can wait to use it to clean or prepare an animal for food prep. Off course I may have totally missed on that last statement, just trying to cool down the thread a little :).

187 is California Penal Code for First Degree Murder. Was just tryin to use phrase to define my knife. Hope you understand now
 
You know what, your pictures make the knife a lot better looking then the website ones do. That mircata looks very nicely sculptured and when placed next to the RC-6, the blade shape (very similar to the RC-3's blade profile) becomes more apparent. I don't like the pommel or that little do-hickey on the top of the blade. It probably has some kind of purpose, but I find it distracting. I like the gentle thumb ramp and the tiny choil is very cool.

Overall, looks quite good. This is coming from one of the RatPack folks who hated the looks of this knife when it first came out! Enjoy it!

It is a lot grippier than the RC-6. The top notch is for opening bottles and the bottle point is for using it as a leverage point so you don't use the blade. Maybe to pull out bricks? LOL
 
wow, very nice. I hope mine arrives soon. I got the confirmation email a few days ago so we will see.
 
Very nice looking knife! That does look better than the website. Is there a release date estimated for the non-numbered ones? Nevermind. Found my answer!
 
Verry nice! I love how the brass stands out. Glad to see they are starting to arrive. Hopefully mine isn't too far away. I'll keeping my numbered HEST on the shelf as well and picking up a non-numbered to beat on. :)
