Hello:
In several different threads I have been questioning whether it is feasible to fashion a tactical/utility folder with all of the standard features of such a knife with a hexagonal 1/4 inch tool bit adapter milled into the other end. It is my belief that such a contraption would be a clean and elegant alternative to the Leathermans and SAKs currently used as multitools. I'd rather carry a really tough and usuable knife that can adapt tools when required and leave the bits behind when not needed, such as using the folder as a neck knife.
Does anyone here know of anyone who'd at least put such a design to paper and comment on its feasibility. Of all of the custom knife features I have ever dreamed up, the tool adapter is the only one I have ever really wanted. With a kydex sheath holding an extension arm and the bits it could be a really useful tool. No one, to my knowledge, has attempted such a thing.
