Hey! Another Giveaway/Contest!

Well if you already have the Fire steel & knife ...I'de say put a small firestraw & some jute twine & most of all some first aid material - different size bandaids, asprin, neosporian !

Here is what I would put in it.

I know you may not like the signal mirror, but that is very important, even a small AMK one.

Signal Mirror
Katadyn pur tabs
fox 40 mini
fire straws
brass wire
button compass
ziplock baggy

One like pictured here.

Here is some of what I would have in a kit that size.
Minus the fishing kit/maybe keep a few hooks, duct tape and amk heat sheet for a kit that size.

For a lot of features in a compact package, consider adding one of the Tool Logic survival cards.

Ok, here's my suggestion.

1. Tool logic card ( or similar, they are all about the same price but you need to look at the options to see which you prefer).

2. un lubricated condom

3. mason's line ( it's smaller in diameter but still strong enough to lash with so you can put in more than 550 cord)

4. roofing nails ( I like 2" nails for kits, and roofing nails because they have a big head)

5. heat sheet ( at least half of one, depending on size of container)

6. Duct Tape ( as much as you can get, I like to wrap min around the shank of the nails because it keeps it neat and it keeps the nails from poking holes in other items)

7. Fire straws

Now here's the reasoning for each of my items.

1. These cards offer a lot of handy tools in a small package like a light, tweezers, magnifying glass etc.

2. The condom will obviously hold water and un lubricated doesn't give the water the taste that a lubed one will.

3. Lashing and you can use it to sew up holes in your clothes if you use a nail to make holes.

4. the nails make good awls, also arrow heads, spools for tape or twine and they can even be used as nails.

5. the heat sheet is not for wrapping up in ( in my opinion that's about the least effective way to use it) it's for use as a windbreak/ firereflector. That's why even half a heatsheet is good to have around.

6. Duct tape is pretty obvious so I won't go into it's multitude of uses.

7. Fire straws in conjunction with the firesteel you already have will serve to get you warmed up in no time even in wet weather, especially if used with a fire reflector.
