Hey Canucks

I thought they charge duties on anything made in the USA, with the free trade agreement? It's always nice if you can get them to call it a gift.

Thanks for everybody's help!

there are no duties charged if item is clearly marked "Made in USA", only PST/GST/HST and sometimes a brokerage fee. I always get knives shipped from USA to Canada labelled "Camping Cutlery Made in USA" on customs forms, I've never had any problem.

I can't remember what I was charged for, it probably was taxes and not duties. Duties was just the first thing that came to mind when I was typing my last post. They charged me on one order and not the 2nd order a week later.

i just got my first rat from workwear ended up having some issues with the ordering and such but paul was very quick to call and work things out so i will not hesitate to deal with paul again

Just bought my first ESEE knives (Izula and RC4) from Workwear Canada. As it has been said Paul is great to deal with. I buy from him and Warriors and Wonders to support Canadian businesses plus I get them a little faster. Really looking forward to the ESEE's

I got both my RC4 & RC6 from Paul at Workwear Canada. As has been said, he's a great guy to deal with.

Got both my izula and rc4 off of paul at workwearcanada. Great guy to deal with.
he ships most things free.

I bought 90% of my knives from Newgraham, a very reputable store with reasonable USPS shipping

I just got my Izula Kit (in OD) today from KSF, straight to my door for $70cdn.

I've bought many things from KSF and have always been fully satisfied. I've also bought from Workwear, not cutlery, but other items. They are both great dealers to work with. KSF will get you the product cheaper, particularly given the nearly at par currencies of the moment. Workwear will get you the product out faster because he is not subject to the vagaries of customs which can be anywhere from 0 extra days to 3 weeks.

So I use the rule, do I want it really fast? Then I'd go for Workwear and eat the slightly higher cost. Do I want it on the cheap, then I'd go with KSF. Of course there are many other U.S. dealers that ship to Canada and are wise enough to do so by not using UPS. Always specifiy U.S. postal service, but the unfortunate closeness in terms of acronyms can make this easily confused. Last little bit to consider, is if you are having order mix-up issues - and this happens even with the best of folks - it is much easier to deal with this within country instead of having to go through 3 border crossings.

+1 for Workwear. Very hands-on, got a personalized email confirmation. Plus anything over $75 is shipped Canada Post expedited for free. Plus, y'know, you're supporting a Canadian business.

i just ordered an izzie from paul(workwear) this week and his fast replies and great service will keep me going back, i will also add that if you call or email him he will get you just about anything even if it doesnt show on his site
