Well it goes like this. You all know I am kind of a grumpy peg legged pirate who is for the most part a grinch and I hate all the ho ho ho and fa la la la of the Xmas season. But thats just me and some folks love this season...
That said the economy up in Michigan blows 15.% unemployment and thats just the numbers of folks who are collecting unemployment, The actual number is around 20-25%. I was one of those statistics last winter so I feel the pain. but I digress.
Well yesterday my wife was working with another one of her teacher friends and she shared in tears that her husband has been out of work for over a year and the realization is sinking in that there just wont be a christmas for thier two kids ( both boys ages 6 & 4) now again I remember what it was like to be a kid at christmas. and I believe Christmas is for kids...but to have no presents under the tree...well that. my friends is just not right. Normally in situations like this I just peel off a few C notes and give Mom and Dad the coin and tell them not to worry about it...but I cannot this year because..Hell I am a charity case myself after 7 months in the unemployment roles and taking a Job that pays way less than I used to make. ( but I dont care about that I have a job, which I like and am thankful)
So anyways I cant get these kids out of my head so I decided to part with one of my knives. I am selling it at the cost I bought it for and if you want to be generous you can...but here it goes..
This is a Knife by up and coming ABS apprentice ( taking his JS test this year at Blade) Stephen Fowler. An all around great guy...
The knife is made from forged 1095 with a very nice hamon and blade length is 8" with OAL of 12.5"
handle is contoured Carmel Micarta and sheath by maker.
Comes with a Birth certificate of authentication..
I am asking $275 plus PP fee I will cover the shipping corkies...
obviously no trades and I will ship to the Canadians for additional postage fees. ( around $25)
Thanks corks...I hope you can help out....
